Admission to I.A.S Main Exam – 2008 / Preliminary-2009 Coaching Program
Applications are invited from candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Other Backward Class and Minority communities including the disabled category for admission to I.A.S. Main 2008 and Prelim 2009 Courses, funded by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment offering free Coaching and Library facilities and Boarding (on payment) to selected candidates.
The stipend of Rs.1500/- and Rs.750/- per month per head is payable to outstation and local candidates respectively subject to the availability of grant.
Eligibility:
1. Applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste, Other Backward Class and Minority Communities, including the disabled category.
2. Applicant should not have received training for two sessions at this Centre.
3. Applicant’s family annual income of does not exceed Rs. 2,00,000,00 (One Lakh)
4. Students so admitted shall have to attend all classes regularly.
For I.A.S. Main 2008
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes who have qualified l.A.S. (Prelim) 2008 should apply on prescribed Admission form obtainable on payment of Rs.100/- in cash from the Office of the Centre immediately after the declaration of result of Prelim 2008. The coaching classes will begin from 1st week of August, 2008
For I.A.S Preliminary 2009
Application forms for admission to I.A.S. Prelim 2009 coaching will be issued from 1st July, 2008 during office hours.
Applicants should have graduate degree from a recognized University with not less than 50% marks. He must have attained the age of 21 years on 1.8.2008. Eligible candidates should apply for admission on prescribed application form by sending- (1) A crossed Bank draft of Rs.140/- in favor of the Principal P.E.T.C., Pant Hostel, State Bank of India, Allahabad University (2) Three self-addressed envelopes (two stamped envelopes) so as to reach the Centre within 30 days from the publication of this advertisement.

Last date for receipt of application form is 30th September 2008. Selection for admission will be made through interview on merit basis.
Charges Payable at the time of Admission
1. Selected Candidates with Hostel facility are required to deposit the following amount at the time of admission:
Room rent and Electricity @ Rs.600/= p.m. per student for 4 months for IAS Main 2008, i.e., Rs.2400/= and for 5 months for IAS Prelim 2009, ie., Rs.3000/=.
Girl Candidates @ Rs.600/+ Pm for Double seated rooms for 4 months for IAS Main 2008, i.e. " Rs.2400/= and for 5 months for IAS Prelim 2009, ie., Rs.3000/= The girl candidates will reside at the Womens Hostel Campus, University of Allahabad.
A sum of Rs.850/= p.m. for mess charges for 5 months, ie., Rs.4250/= for Prelim and Rs.3400/= for Main Examination.
A sum-of Rs.500/= as Library Fees will be charged, in which Rs.300/= is refundable & Rs.200/= is non-refundable & Rs.200/= as Library caution money (Refundable).
2. Day Scholar Candidates selected as day scholars (without Hostel facility) are required to deposit Rs.3,000/= only as admission charges. They will however be entitled for stipend subject to the availability of grant.
3. Selected Day Scholar candidates will have to pay Rs.500/= as Library Fees, in which Rs.300/= will be refunded and Rs.200/= will be non-refundable.
