Central Institute of Tool Design is a premier Institute in Asia to provide specialized training in tool engineering. The objective of the Institute is to meet the requirements of the Industries in the field of Tool Design and manufacturing and to train the technical personnel in these fields.
The Institute was established in the year 1968 by the Govt, of India with assistance of UNDP and ILO. Applications are invited in the prescribed form for admission into the following course commencing from September, 2008.
1) Course Contents:CAD/CAM : Auto CAD. Pro/E (Part Modeling, Surfacing, Assembly, Drafting, Sheet Metal, Mould, Mechanical, Manufacturing) CATIA (Part Modeling, Surfacing, Assembly, Drafting), UG (Part Modeling, Surfacing, Assembly, Drafting & Manufacturing), Ansys (Structural & Thermal), Hypermesh (Shell Mesh & Solid Mesh). DelCAM (Power Shape & Power Mill). CNC Programming.
Tool Engineering: GD & T, Design Practice, Materials & Heat Treatment, Metrology, Press tools, Plastic Mould Tools, Die Casting Dies, Cutting Tools, Jig & Fixtures.
2) Mode of Selection:
A) Selection of candidates through Entrance Test:
Candidates will be selected through entrance test for PGDCTE. Selection is purely based on merit in the written test conducted by CITD, Hyderabad.
3) Date of Entrance Test and Centre: 31-08-2008 (Sunday) at CITD, Hyderabad.
4) How to Apply: Prescribed application form and prospectus (containing rules and syllabus for Entrance Examination) can he had from CAD/CAM Department, Central Institute of Tool Design, Hyderabad-500 037 by paying cash or a crossed Demand Draft of Rs.300/- (SC/ST candidates Rs.100/-) drawn in favour of Principal Director, CITD, Hyderabad, on any Nationalized Bank, payable at Hyderabad.
The SC / ST Category candidates need to enclose a copy of Caste Certificate attested by Gazetted Officer. Applications can also be down loaded from our website www.citdindia.org and the filled in application forms can be sent to the Director, CITD (CAD/CAM), Central Institute of Tool Design, Hyderabad-500 037 along with Demand Draft as mentioned above.
5) Commencement of issue of application forms: 09-05-2008.
6) Last Date for submission of application forms: 25-08-2008.
7) Last Date for submission of application forms with late fee of Rs.200/-: 28-08-2008.
8) Date of Entrance Exam: 31-08-2008.
9) Date of Counseling: 12-09-2008.
10) Date of Commencement of Course: 15-09-2008.
