143 new ITIs to come up in Andhra Pradesh |

Hyderabad : The Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to establish 143 new ITIs in the state with an aim to provide industrial training and to generate more employment for youth of the state.
The State has already 730 ITIs offering industrial training to youth.
Out of total sanctioned 143 ITIs, 100 will come up in the private sector, while the remaining is being set up by the government. |

In all these ITIs, motor-driving will be included as important curriculum to meet the increasing demand for drivers these days.
In view of this, district Collectors have been asked to acquire at least 15 acres for each new ITI to provide sufficient space for driving.
Technical Education Minister of Andhra Pradesh, R. Chenga Reddy said, "The decision has been taken to develop and modernise the government ITIs through public private partnership by involving industries in maintenance of the campus buildings."
"The government will establish more ITI s in the State in line with the policy to have one such institution in each of the 294 Assembly constituencies, each with career guidance and counseling centre," added Mr.Chenga Reddy.
