 Teachers warn strike during board examinations

As many as 22 lakh teachers and employess of the Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh have warned to go on a strike during the coming board examinations, if the government does not wipe out the anomalies in their salaries. A 'Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh' spokesperson today said the Uttar Pradesh government has cheated them by not implementing the sixth pay commission recommendations like the Centre.

The teachers and employees would go on a protest during the high school and intermediate board examination commencing from March 2, if the state government does not issue a notification in this regard soon.

The Sangh is also scheduled to hold a conference at Allahabad on February 27 and 28.
