New Delhi : The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT-R) will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2009 on February 8, 2009.

GATE is jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) on behalf of the National Coordinating Board (NCB) - GATE, Development of Education (Ministry of Human Resource Development).

The overall coordination and responsibilities of conducting GATE 2009 lies with IIT Roorkee, designated as the organizing institute of GATE 2009.
