National Entrance Examination for Design i.e. NEED is one of the most sought exams among the students who want to be a part of the fashion world. NEED is conducted by NID which stands for National Institute of Design. It is one of the best schools of fashion in India. This fashion school gets good rating each year for the overall performance of its students. Through this examination, the student get admission for Graduate Diploma Program in Design (GDPD).
Eligibility Criteria
• Candidates appearing for the exam must have passed class 12 or any other equivalent exam.
• Maximum age limit is 20 years.
• Candidates who will appear for the class 12 exam the same year can also apply but will be given admission only if they pass the exam.
Selection Procedure
Students are first required to sit for an entrance examination. The short listed students are then called for an interview for final selection.

• Application form availability: 06/10/2008
• Last date for submission of complete filled-in application form: 28/11/2008
• Issue of hall ticket/admission letter/call letters: 20/12/2008
• Entrance date: 04/01/2009
• Dispatch of call letters for interview to the short listed candidates: 26/03/2009
• Interviews: 23/04/2009 to 25/04/2009
