MGMCRI Common Entrance Test 2009

The Common Entrance Test (CETMGMCRI-2009) conducted by SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH UNIVERSITY for Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute Puduvai-Cuddalore Main Road, Pillaiyarkuppam, Puducherry - 607402.

Exam Date for MGMCRI CET 2009: 30-05-2009

Timings

  • 10.30 AM to 12.30 Noon (Physics & Chemistry)
  • 02.00 PM to 4.00 PM (Botany & zoology)

CETMGMCRI 2009 Eligibility for Admission

As per pre-requisite admission to I MBBS degree course, Candidates must have appeared in CETMGMCRI 2009.

However, mere appearance in CETMGMCRI-2009 will not automatically qualify a candidate for admission to MBBS degree course.

For admission to MBBS degree course, the candidate should fulfil the necessary admission requirements prescribed by SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH UNIVERSITY.

Age Limit:

Candidate should be l7 years of ageason 31st December 2009. However no upper age limit has been prescribed.

Minimum Academic Qualification

Candidate for admission to the first year MBBS Degree course should have passed the H.Sc (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% marks for SC/OBC)in the following subjects. Candidate must also have taken English as one of the subjects.

Biology (Botany & Zoology) / Physics / Chemistry. Student also should secure above 50% marks in the Common Entrance Test to be eligible for seeking admission.

Permitted Number of Appearances in Qualifying Examination:

The maximum number of appearances (including first appearance) permitted to pass the qualifying examination, for admission to MBBS degree course for different categories of candidates are given below. (The appearance for the first time in the qualifying examination is considered as the first appearance)

Improvement Marks

Candidate may also seek admission with marks secured in the improvement examination (if it is advantageous) provided it is the first improvement examination.
