Description:
Indian Navy SSC, Technical (Electrical and Engineering Branch, including Submarine Cadre, is inviting all Unmarried Indian male candidates for recruiting them in SSC i.e. Short Service Commission in the Engineering and Electrical Branch of Indian Navy. Examination for recruiting candidates is held twice a year.
Physical Requirements:
• Height: male candidate must be at least 157 cm and female candidate 148 cm.
• Weight: Candidate’s weight must be in accordance with their height.
• Visual Standards: 6/36, 6/36 (which can be corrected to 6/6 in both eyes with glasses).
Eligibility Criteria:
• Candidates must be aged between 19 to 25 years.
• Candidates must have done their B.Tech/ B.E from any of the recognized Institute with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
• Candidates should have done their Engineering in any of the following disciplines:
1. Electrical Engineering
2. Mechanical Engineering
3. Control Engineering
4. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Selection Procedure:
The eligible candidates are short listed and are called for the Selection Board Interview which continues for a period of 5 days. Candidates, who qualify in this test, have to appear for a series of tests which follows:
1. Psychological Tests
2. Group Tasks
3. Individual Tasks
4. Group Discussion and Personal Interview
Candidates who are selected after the above mentioned series of tests, have to go for a medical fitness test. Candidates who are selected for Submarine Cadre have to undergo a special Medical checkup at Vishakhapatnam and Mumbai.
Important Dates:
• Examination is conducted twice in a year, one in the month of January and other in the month of July.
