Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences All India Common Entrance Test i.e. PIMS AICET is conducted by Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences which is a deemed University. The exam is conducted for admission to the M.B.B.S or B.D.S courses. From 29th September 2004, Human Resource Development Ministry (MHRD) has also given this institute a deemed University status. The institute has two colleges under its belt i.e. Rural Medical College (M.B.B.S) and Rural Dental College (B.D.S).
Eligibility Criteria
• Candidates must be an Indian and must have a proof of the same.
• Candidate’s minimum age: 17 years
• Candidates must have scored minimum 50% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology in class 12 exam or any other equivalent exams.
• Candidates awaiting for their results can also apply
Selection Procedure
The examination consists of one paper which contains 200 MCQs, 50 each from Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry. For each correct answer +1 is awarded. No negative marking for incorrect answers.

• Application form availability: March 2009
• Last date for submission of complete filled-in application form: mid of April 2009
• Issue of hall ticket/admission letter/call letters: mid of March to mid April 2009
• Entrance date: may first week, 2009
• Result declaration: June first week, 2009
• Counseling schedule: June end, 2009
