Description :
AIEEE or All India Engineering Entrance Exam is the second in line, considering the importance of engineering entrance exams in the country. Admission to all NITs or National Institute of Technology and various other top-of-the-line engineering colleges fall under this exam patter, which is held every year usually in the month of April. This time also, AIEEE is slated to be held on 24th of April, 2009. This exam, rather than judging the bookish knowledge, judges the general aptitude of the candidates from the same prescribed syllabus. So, students are hereby urged to look after the previous years’ carefully and then prepare accordingly.

 
Eligibility Criteria

    * For admission to BE/B.Tech, candidates or students must have passed Senior Secondary or Class XII in 10+2 scheme or any other equivalent exam from a recognized University or board. Candidates appearing for the same in the year 2009 can also apply for the exam provisionally, but they need to fulfill each and every eligibility criterion at the time of counseling.

    * The total number of attempts in AIEEE is limited to three, so any candidate who passed his Senior Secondary exam in 2006 or before is not eligible to write the exam. More so, the candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as his compulsory subject and Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Bio Technology as any of his optional subject.

    * Age is also an important criteria and a candidate whose DOB falls on 1st October, 1984 or after is eligible. For SC, ST and OBC, the age criterion is relaxed by five years.

Selection Procedure

As said, the selection is done through a written test of 3 hour duration. The test consists of question on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

    * Last date of submission: 10/01/2009 till 5 P.M.
    * AIEEE Exam Date: 26/04/2009
    * Result declaration: 07/06/2009 (On or before)
