JNU or is Jawaharlal Nehru University named after India’s first Prime Minister,Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru . Situated in India’s capital city, New Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University is not only one of the top ranked Universities in India but also in Asia. A survey has revealed that in Social and Biological Sciences study, JNU is among the top 100 The exam is conducted every year by JNU for admission to various degree programs.
Eligibility Criteria
• Candidates who are opting for M.A, International studies, Language, Culture Studies and Literature must score minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam. • Candidates who are opting for Social Sciences must score minimum 55% marks in the qualifying exam.
Selection Procedure
• Candidates must pass the entrance examination conducted by the University. • Candidates who pass the entrance exam then go for interviews after which the final results are declared. • The candidates who get selected after the interview sessions then get admission to their preferred course.
Important Dates • Application form availability: early February to mid March • Entrance date: mid May 2009 (proposed) • Selected candidates interview: July first week • Result declaration: mid July
